Northern VietNam is getting its first container link with the US. The Alliance has un veiled its service offerings for next year. Among key changes, the revised PN2 service will call at Hai Phong International Container Terminal (HITC), a facility owned by alliance member Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL). The service calls across Southeast Asia and stop at Tacoma in the US and Vancouver in Canada. Currently it deploys seven ships ranging in size from 8,100 teu to 9.600 teu, which would be the largest ships to ever call in northern VietNam. HICT opened in May this year and is the only deepwater boxport capable of handing larger Vietnam.
