Ningbo Marine enters tanker sector with AVIC Dingheng order

Chinese dry bulk operator Ningbo Marine has chosen AVIC Dingheng Shipping as the preferred yard for its newbuilt project of a 10.000dwt product tanker. According to the tanker document, seen by Splash, the price for the vessel is RMB110m ($15.8m) and construction is expected to be completed in 19 months. The order will mark Ningbo Marine’s entry into the tanker market. According to VesselValue, the company currently operates a fleet of 36 vessel comprising of 26 bulker and feedermax boxships.
